Principles. Purpose. Path.
How we hold the flame.
AfterLight Project invests in working-class leaders through paid training and strategic support, opening real pathways to public leadership for those who’ve lived the problems they aim to solve.
The barriers are real. When time is tight, costs are high, and support is out of reach, public life stays out of reach, too. That’s what we’re changing.
Still showing up? If you’ve lived the problem—and haven’t walked away—this is your place. Let’s get to work.
Eagle Creek, IN: Still water, steady roots.
three labs. one purpose.
1. The leadership Lab
Paying, hands-on learning environments where working-class civic leaders study leadership, ethics, and public systems—supported by wages that make it possible to participate without putting the rest of life on hold.
2. The story Lab
A publishing and communications arm that lifts working-class voices. Through essays, reports, media coaching, and toolkits, leaders with lived experience gain the clarity and confidence to shape public conversation on paper, on camera, and in the community.
3. The trust Lab
A private, quiet table. A long view. The kind of trust that makes things possible. These convenings connect funders, mentors, and civic leaders to map the future together—and build what none could build alone.
